Drawing animals from life brings a few whole new challenges with it. Not only do their surfaces vary widely and, for the most part, their figure and anatomy is anything but humanoid. They also tend not to give a dime whether or not you have yet got a glance at what you were looking for, let alone if you actually finished your drawing. So you've got to be quick and quiet and develop some kind of photographic memory that you can draw from even if your subject has long since vanished from your vision. 

I still love finding those very special characteristics in the way the move, behave, interact, sound, and of course look. You never get tired of watching animals as there's always something new to learn and discover.
